STITCH + SIP (6th Series)

An Embroidery Stitching Workshop

February 11 2024
1PM - 4PM

Labour of Love | 223 Carlton Street, Toronto
(south-side of Carlton, west of Parliament street)

In this Stitch 'N Sip 6th series workshop, local Cabbagetowner Margaret Grottenthaler, will show us how to make a beautifully textured embroidery sampler. Beginner stitchers will learn the basics of embroidery and will use their new skills to make a displayable art piece. Experienced stitchers will learn more complex stitches such as trellis, web, woven blanket stitch and bullion knots. You can make your sampler on a linen tea towel, muslin provided by Margaret or on your own fabric (linens and loose weaves are great). Hoops and thread will be provided but please bring small scissors with you.

Materials and tools are provided:

• Linen Tea Towel ($35 value, FREE)
• Embroidery needles
• Embroidery snips
• Embroidery hoops
• Selection of threads
• Muslin
