Santa Fe Chipotle Dry Rubbed Steak

How do you like your steak? If you answered "with a kick of heat," then this simple rub is for you.

GLUTEN-FREE | DAIRY-FREE | NUT-FREE

INGREDIENTS

30 oz ribeye steak
1-2 Tbsp olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Thinly coat the meat with olive oil then sprinkle generously with Santa Fe Chipotle Honey. Massage to penetrate the flavors. Refrigerate in the fridge for 1-3 hours, then let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

Preheat the BBQ to high and oil grill.

Place the steak on the hot grills and cook for about 3 minutes.

Flip the steak over and repeat (cooking 3 minutes, turning 45 degrees and cooking an additional 3 minutes).

Lower the heat to low, and continue indirect cooking until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for rare or 145°F for medium-rare cooking.

Place the steak on a plate and cover with foil. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Santa Fe Chipotle Honey infused maple syrup

You heard it here first: The combination of delectably-sweet maple syrup and Kanel's smoky Santa Fe Chipotle Honey Rub is too irresistible to pass up. One of the easiest applications of this rub is to use as a topper on oven-baked salmon.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup pure maple syrup
1tsp Santa Fe Chipotle Honey

INSTRUCTIONS

Add maple syrup and Santa Fe Chipotle Honey to a small pot and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
