The Lemon Apron Cookbook Event

Cook + Learn + Eat + Mingle with author Jennifer Emilson

RSVPs are now closed

Thursday, December 1
6-8PM

Labour of Love | 223 Carlton Street, Toronto
(south-side of Carlton, west of Parliament street)

To embrace the multicultural city we call home, Jennifer Emilson put together The Lemon Apron Cookbook to celebrate neighbourhood eats; from Gerrard Street Mulligatawny Soup to High Park Autumn Perogies, bringing diversity from the street to our kitchen. Delicious recipes she learned through her travels - how to make the perfect crumpets go with a ploughman’s lunch. She also included some of her mum’s heritage recipes. This book is a love letter, also a tribute to all of Jennifer's rich influences.

Please join us with Jennifer Emilson, author of The Lemon Apron Cookbook and writer of The Lemon Apron blog, for in-store cooking demos, sampling and a Q&A with the author. Whether you’re a long-time follower of The Lemon Apron blog or are discovering Jennifer’s recipes for the first time, The Lemon Apron Cookbook will keep you curious in the kitchen and help you make the most of your fresh market finds to celebrate cooking throughout the year!

The sampling menu will feature:

  • Gerrard Street Mulligatawny Soup
  • Quebecois Tourtiere 2.0
  • Salted Bourbon Caramel Apple Strudel
  • Served with iced Rouge Provence Tea with locally crafted Cherry Hibiscus simple syrup
